Pamporovo is known as the sunniest resort in Bulgaria and a day on the slopes can easily top up your tan. The resort sits snuggled within part of the Rhodope mountains 1650m above sea level. The resort is 240km from Sofia and 85km from Plovdiv.
The ski runs in Pamporovo come in all hardship levels. They are located between 1926 and 1450 m above the sea level on the northern, eastern and western slopes of The Snejanka peak. Great off-piste skiing and snowboarding is available in this resort, however we recommend using a local guide when going off-piste.
Pamporovo has a large choice in night-life opportunities with its many night-clubs bars and discos. The ski carnivals and ski shows are great fun too. Guests of Pamporovo would be well advised to try the original cuisine of the Rhodope region and the world-famous Bulgarian wines, which are usually accompanied at the different taverns by excellent folk groups performing lively, centuries-old dances.
